Frequently Asked Questions

Select a topic below. If you can't find your answer here, please contact us.

What does membership cost?

Current dues and fees are listed on the Membership Rates page. Your own membership type, its status and its renewal date are shown under My Memberships in the account menu.

How do I pay my dues?

The club issues you an invoice. It appears under My Invoices in the sidebar and you'll get a notification when it's sent. Open it and choose Pay Now — you can pay from your wallet balance, by card, or with a combination of the two.

Who assigns my membership type?

A club administrator does. If you joined through an invitation that already specified a membership type, yours is set up automatically when you register and you'll receive the invoice for it. Family members you register are always assigned individually by an administrator after they review your registration.

Are my membership fees tax deductible?

No, membership fees are NOT tax deductible.

How do I make a booking?

Click Book in the top navigation and choose your check-in and check-out dates. You'll see the bunks and private rooms that are free for those nights. Add what you need to your cart, then go to checkout, where you say who is sleeping in each bed before paying.

How far ahead can I book?

Up to 21 days in advance (about 3 weeks). Dates beyond that aren't open yet — check back as they come into range. Bookings are limited to 7 consecutive nights.

Why can't I make a booking?

Bookings need all of the following:

  • An active membership that has been paid for. If an invoice is outstanding, settle it under My Invoices first.
  • An account of your own. Family members registered as dependents don't book for themselves — whoever holds the account books on their behalf and selects them as an occupant at checkout.
  • Dates inside the booking window described above.

Your membership status is shown under My Memberships. If it looks correct and you still can't book, contact us.

Can I book the same person into two rooms on one night?

No. Each person can only be assigned to one bed per night, so the same occupant can't be placed in two rooms for the same date.

Where can I see who is staying?

The Bed List in the sidebar shows the lodge's bed assignments by date. Your own reservations are under Bookings.

Can I bring a guest?

Yes. When you're selecting beds you can add guests by name and age, and they are booked alongside you. Guests don't need their own membership or login. Guest rates are on the Rates page.

Does my guest need to do anything before arriving?

Guests must be accompanied by a member, and are expected to follow the Lodge Rules just as members are. For some club activities a guest may be asked to sign a liability waiver — the club will send a link if that applies.

How can I pay?

Everything on the site — bookings and invoices alike — can be paid from your wallet balance, by card, or by splitting the cost between the two. If your wallet doesn't cover the full amount, the remainder goes on the card.

What is the wallet?

It's a credit balance held with the club, shown under My Wallet. Refunds are paid into it, and club staff can credit it directly. Every credit and debit is listed there, so you can see exactly where the balance came from. If the club has enabled self-service top-ups, an Add Funds button appears on that page.

Where are my invoices?

My Invoices in the sidebar lists every invoice with its status. Anything still owing has a Pay Now button. You're notified when a new invoice is issued and when a payment is received.

My payment failed, or I was charged but see no booking.

Don't pay a second time. The club is alerted automatically when a payment succeeds but the booking doesn't complete, and staff reconcile it — usually within a day. If you'd like it confirmed sooner, contact us with the date and amount.

What is the cancellation policy?

Timing is measured against the lodge's check-in time (3:00 PM) on your first night, not midnight.

  • More than 72 hours before check-in — cancel for a full refund.
  • Within 72 hours of check-in — the booking cannot be cancelled and no refund is given.

Inside that final window the reservation stays yours. The club doesn't take the money and release your bed to someone else — if your plans change late, the bunk is still there and someone else in your party may be able to use it.

How do I cancel?

Open the reservation under Bookings and choose to cancel. You'll be shown what will be refunded before you confirm.

Where does my refund go?

Into your club wallet, where it's immediately available against your next booking or invoice. The club pays a processing fee on every card transaction, so refunding to the wallet keeps that money working for you rather than going to the card processor. If you need it returned to your card instead, contact us and staff can arrange it.

What accommodation is available?

Bunks in shared dorms, and a small number of private rooms. Both are booked the same way; rates for each are on the Rates page.

Do I need to bring bedding?

Yes — bring your own sleeping bag, pillow and mattress cover. Mattresses and small bedside lockers are provided.

Are meals available?

Meals are served at the lodge and the prices are listed on the Rates page. Meal sign-up is not yet part of this website — arrange meals with the lodge directly, and note that the kitchen needs advance notice to plan quantities.

Can I rent a locker?

Yes. Lockers are in high demand and are allocated first come, first served — see the Rates page for the annual fee and contact us to reserve one.

Can I bring a pet?

No, pets are not allowed on the premises.

Something is broken. How do I report it?

Use Maintenance Request in the sidebar. It goes straight to the people who look after the lodge, and you can describe the problem and where it is. The full house rules are on the Lodge Rules page.

Why am I being asked to sign a waiver?

Certain club activities, such as work parties, require a signed liability waiver before you take part. You'll see a prompt on your dashboard when one is outstanding.

Can I sign for my family?

You can sign on behalf of the dependents in your family. Another adult with their own login signs their own — you can't sign for them.

I signed already. Why is it asking again?

Waivers are versioned. If the club publishes an updated version, a fresh signature is needed against it. Your earlier signature is kept on record, it just no longer covers the current version.

How do I update my details or change my password?

Both are in the account menu at the top right, under Profile and Change Password.

How do I add a family member?

Family members are usually added when you first register. To add someone afterwards, contact us — an administrator adds them and assigns their membership.

Where do club notices go?

The bell icon in the top bar carries your notifications — invoices issued, payments received, booking confirmations and reminders. The CASCADER Newsletter in the sidebar has past and current issues.
